The Rolex Jeweled Bezel

Updated: Feb 28, 2022

Perhaps nothing indicates the luxurious and beautiful nature of a Rolex more clearly than a jeweled bezel (the round outer ring that attaches the protective crystal to the face of the watch.) Available for gold and platinum watches alone, the jeweled bezel presents a dazzling spectacle of opulence that truly displays the Rolex as the pinnacle of fine timepieces. With a variety of choices available for a variety of models, the jeweled bezel truly presents a unique opportunity to add an element of class to an already classy timepiece.

Beautiful diamond bezels are fashioned out of platinum, yellow gold, white gold, or some combination of each. Embedded with thirty-two, forty, or forty-four full cut diamonds, the bezels display an elegance and beauty that exemplifies luxury. The diamond bezels are available on an array of models for both men and women but only on gold and platinum models when new. With pre-owned models, however, it is not uncommon to find jeweled bezels on stainless steel models.

Jeweled bezels are not limited to diamonds. In some ladies’ models, a gold bezel with square-cut emeralds is available. Other ladies’ models include square-cut rubies and some include diamonds and emeralds together. A particularly popular men’s bezel includes rubies, sapphires, and diamonds. There are more bezels outfitted with precious stones as well. A wide variety of precious stone bevels is available new and aftermarket.

The jeweled bezel still maintains the important functionality of the bezel in relation to maintaining pressure and in some cases measuring time intervals or other measurements, but the beauty of the piece is displayed with far more emphasis. Jeweled bezels are part of what makes a luxury Rolex both luxurious, and most importantly, a Rolex. They represent a beautiful display of opulence unrivaled in the luxury timepiece marketplace.
