It isn’t only the wealthy who get married, and not everyone can spend three months’ salary on a ring. Some people would have a hard time handling even a full check! We don’t think it’s a good idea to put yourself in debt at the start of your marriage, especially since financial issues can lead to heartbreak.

We advocate taking care to be cautious when it comes to spending and to never spend beyond what you can afford.
