Do You Have Brand Name Jewelry You Want to Sell?

Tiffany & Co 18K Gold Lucida Diamond Engagement Ring with packagingon Display at San Diego Jeweler Showroom

There is a thriving market for pre-owned jewelry. I have a very large inventory of pre-owned, vintage, and antique jewelry I keep stocked for my customers. In order to do that, I buy thousands of dollars’ worth of jewelry every month. A lot of jewelry makes sense to buy only to use the materials for new jewelry. I recycle a lot of gems and precious metals. I think it’s wonderful, though, when I get to buy an item in order to sell it as is.

To me, getting a chance to breathe new life into a necklace or a ring is wonderful. I enjoy the idea of a pendant being loved by a succession of owners, each with a story that’s different and filled with the laughter and tears that only comes from the emotions jewelry always commemorates. Although it’s hit or miss if I get to keep an item intact, there are some pieces of jewelry that I’m much more likely to be able to resell as is.

You’re recognize the names, I’m sure.

Some jewelry brands are known for holding their value and remain popular on the secondary market. If you have items you want to sell, I’d love to take a look. For example, do you have anything from Cartier? A well-known brand that sells diamond rings, necklaces, and watches, Cartier jewelry is popular new or pre-owned. What about Van Cleef & Arpels? This brand, especially the Alhambra Collection is known for its after-market price stability. You’ve probably heard of Harry Winston, a brand known for its high-end creations and use of the best quality and rarest gemstones. What about Bulgari? Known for colored gemstones and diamonds, Bulgari (they brand as BVLGARI) is another very popular pre-owned brand.

And, of course, there’s Tiffany & Co. An iconic American brand known for its luxury and elegance. Tiffany's jewelry pieces are highly sought after in the pre-owned market. Tiffany engagement rings are a big deal. Of course, that’s helped along by the fact that Charles Tiffany invented the primary design for engagement rings, the design still most commonly used today, the Tiffany setting. Other jewelry from Tiffany & Co is also popular as well.

If you have some of these brands or, really, any jewelry you’d like to sell, get in touch. We strive to be the fairest jewelry buyer in San Diego. We believe in win-win transactions. Reach out and we’ll help you turn your jewelry into cash.
