Bracelet Out Of Date? Then Exchange It for Money

Bracelets are quite a common type of gold jewelry, but the problem is that they can break rendering them useless to wear or you may just pass the stage where you want to wear them. This means that there are a large number of bracelets sitting there unused and unloved, but why should you allow them to gather dust when there is something else that you can do instead.

This alternative is to cash in and exchange those gold bracelets for money and you can do this in next to no time by taking it to a company that specializes in buying gold. You may have already heard of a number of the companies and seen their adverts, but the first piece of advice here is to avoid those mail order companies and instead take it to somebody that you can talk to in person as this will result in you getting a better price for your jewelry.

When it comes to the gold that is in bracelets it will often be 9ct although you do also get 18ct and especially 22ct if you buy an item that is made in the Middle East. The bigger the number, the bigger the purity levels and this, in turn, means that you will get more money as a result.

So how much cash will you actually receive? This depends on not only the purity, but also the weight because obviously the more gold that is there, then the more money you will receive. This does mean that the item has to be weighed, but if you just do it at home yourself and there are other stones in there to add to the design, then you will be getting a false weight and will then think that it is worth more than it actually is.

Instead, you should take it to an expert who can work it out accordingly and to give you an accurate price for your item. They will also be able to tell you what the current market rate is for gold, which will be different from the one you might have found yourself, but do note that you will be given the price for that day, so tomorrow it could be completely different.

The best piece of advice to give is that if you live in the San Diego area, then bring it along to our store to allow us to appraise your bracelets and to then make you an offer. We can assure you that you will like the price we state and it will then be up to you to decide if you wish to accept it or not.
