Tiffany & Co and Paloma Picasso

Updated: Mar 4, 2022

Paloma Picasso is the daughter of master painter Pablo Picasso but that just might be the least interesting thing about her! From an early age she showed an appreciation for design, specifically for jewelry design. At the age of nineteen, she worked as a costume designer and necklaces she made from rhinestones purchased at flea markets caught the eyes or critics. Encouraged, she went to school for jewelry design and by within a year Yves Saint Laurent had commissioned her work for a line of accessories. A vote of confidence from the man many believe to be the greatest fashion designer of all time was just the start! Her fame grew, and in 1980 she began working with Tiffany & Co.

The rest, as they say, is history. Paloma Picasso designs have become as much a part of Tiffany & Co. jewelry as the Tiffany Setting! If you want to add a luxurious touch to an outfit, a Picasso earring will do the trick. An elegant but still playful bracelet can add the perfect flair, and a Paloma Picasso pendant can change a beautiful outfit into a divine outfit! For more than thirty years, Tiffany & Co. has made Paloma Picasso’s wonderful jewelry available to the public, and the public has been treated to beautiful designs the entire time. Whether it’s a charm, a pendant, a necklace, or another item, wearing Paloma Picasso indicates a sense of style that endures. It’s pretty staggering when you consider that Paloma Picasso is only one of the remarkable designers that make jewelry for Tiffany & Co.!
