What Is the Tiffany Bezet Design?

Updated: Mar 4, 2022

If you’re in the market for an engagement ring, it’s likely you’ve considered Tiffany & Co. already. In fact, even if you haven’t been to a Tiffany store or if you haven’t considered a Tiffany & Co. engagement ring, the rings you have considered are very likely based on elements of Tiffany & Co. designs! See, Tiffany and Co. revolutionized the diamond industry and revolutionized the engagement ring industry as well. In their one-hundred and seventy-five year history, they’ve pushed for standards for diamonds, standards for precious metals, and for levels of integrity in everything having to do with jewelry. Such commitment to excellence is exemplified perfectly in their Bezet engagement ring design.

A round brilliant diamond is the centerpiece of this stone, and it’s displayed elegantly with a beautiful, sleek platinum bezel raised above the band. The bezel encircles the girdle (where the top and bottom half of the diamond meet) but keeps the crown (top) and the pavilion (bottom) of the diamond visible so the gem can catch light more effectively and so that it’s dazzling brilliance can be admired. The design is streamlined and modern but still displays elegant classic sensibility, and as with all Tiffany & Co. jewelry, the design never gets in the way of the natural beauty of the materials involved.
